Cheese Cutting Board - Why Should I Purchase One?

To lots of people, purchasing a cheese cutting board might sound a bit silly. Most people currently have a regular cutting board so what do they require one which is specially for cheese?

This is exactly what I thought for years. I have to note that my fiance and I are big cheese consumers, but we were more than comfortable using a normal cutting board and not spending the extra money to buy one that is made for cheese (no matter how cute a Swiss cheese cutting board may look!). It just looked like a waste of money.

This went on till about six months ago when I saw a cheese cutting board for sale at the local grocery store. It was adorable, Swiss cheese holes cut into it, and was extremely inexpensive. It had a cheese wire cutter and soft cheese knives.

I must say, that the combination of the new knives in addition to the wire cutter really helped us cut cheese more quickly and efficiently. We also use the board to serve cheese on and we are always getting asked about it! My family absolutely adore it.

Overall, I'd absolutely buy another one of these if faced with the opportunity. I can't believe that we went so long without one, believing that our regular board would do it fine.
